Food Safety Program featured in Fly Corporate
NEW FOOD SAFETY TRAINING PROGRAM FOR CORPORATE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS
Corporate Flight Training (CFT), a British aviation training company, has launched a food safety training program for Corporate Flight Attendants. Developed specifically for the private aviation industry, this regulated program is to provide flight attendants with the training, knowledge and certification to source, handle and prepare food safely. The subject of food safety has been gaining attention recently with many leading industry figures highlighting the need for its inclusion.
CFT’s Director and founder Yasmin Milner developed the program specifically to address the requirements of the industry. “It became apparent during my early years in the private sector at the lack of consideration given to food safety training,” she comments. A qualified Food Safety Trainer for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and an Aircrew Trainer in the UK, Milner has spent the last 17 years working in the aviation industry as the Chief Flight Attendant of a global corporation’s flight department, and serving dignitaries and Royal Families in the Middle East. “The level of expectation [in corporate aviation catering] is often extremely high and the role itself can bring certain challenges which I have experienced myself first hand”.
